Players : Papin, Fernandez, Cantona, Deschamps, Blanc

History : Home jersey worn during a difficult period for the French national team. After their European title in 1986, France failed to qualify for either the 1988 World Cup or Euro 1990. Michel Platini took over the reins of Les Bleus from Henri Michel and built a new squad centered around Cantona and Papin, along with young players Blanc and Deschamps.
