Who is behind VFA? Where do we find our jerseys? Are they really authentic?
First of all, we would like to thank you for your interest in our store, because if you have made it this far, it means that the concept interests you, whether a little or a lot!
What is Vintage Football Area?
"VFA" is an online store dedicated to authentic vintage football jerseys. The store was officially launched on July 4, 2019, by two 22-year-old students and friends, Paul and Olivier!
How did the concept come about?
Wanting to start our own business, we shared our respective ideas to determine which project was the most feasible. It was in July 2018, at a festival in Bayonne, that Paul realized that every football fan or player has several jerseys lying at the back of their wardrobe. In addition, new jerseys are becoming increasingly expensive in stores: you now have to pay at least €80 for an authentic jersey. The player version? €120, and that is without the additional cost of the name and number printing. The only alternative is the fake market and products from China, but when jerseys lose their color after a single sweat stain, the deal is not so worthwhile.
We therefore want to be that alternative. Authentic jerseys from your favorite teams at affordable prices.
After several months of testing, particularly on third-party sales platforms, we saw that we were meeting the needs of customers who wanted authentic football jerseys at lower prices, as well as another group: collectors looking for rare pieces.
Where do we find our jerseys?
To begin our adventure, we turned to our families, friends, and former teammates to collect jerseys they no longer used. This allowed us to confirm the hypothesis that countless jerseys were sitting in wardrobes (and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them)!
Today, we obtain jerseys in various ways: through word of mouth, we receive donations of unused jerseys (thank you once again), we visit markets and clothing-clearout sales, and we find some on websites such as Leboncoin!

Are they all authentic?
All the jerseys displayed on our website are authentic.
As you may have understood, they are mostly second-hand jerseys. However, most of them have no defects! If any defects are present, they are of course indicated in the item description.

Je suis devenu à mes heures perdues, un collectionneur de maillot de foot, bien que mes deux équipes favorites soit l’Olympique de Marseille en Ligue 1 et le Manchester City FC du côté de la Premier Ligue. J’ai découvert VFA grâce au Videaste “Un Max 2 Foot”. Quelle fut ma surprise de voir autant de maillot, que ça soit club ou sélection disponible sur le site. Cette boutique m’a permit de mettre la main sur des maillots légendaire comme le Real Madrid, tunique porte par un Portugais quintuple ballon d’or qu’on surnomme “M. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE”.
Que vous soyez un fan du Milan AC des années 80-90, un supporter du Real Madrid des années 2010, un fan du Barca dans les 2009-2011 ou un fan de la Juve ou de Man United, un fan du Bayern ou de l’Ajax, peut importe le maillot, peut importe l’époque, peut importe l’icône qui sera passer par votre club de cœur. Si vous rechercher un maillot, c’est Vintage Football Area qu’il vous faut.
